Where This Year’s Novice Is Next Year’s Craftsperson…

    Landscaping at Field

Field offers a unique, collaborative and supportive environment for new team-members to learn a craft. If working with stone, digging your hands in the dirt and experiencing the satisfaction of landscape transformations gets you excited… let’s talk.

    Employee Power

New hires are an important members of our team from day-one and our First Year skills pathway keeps you and us accountable for your development. We see this job as an entry to a career and ask that you be willing to invest two or more seasons to learning the craft. The first year has a lot of guidance and building your foundation skills. The second year is when you get a better taste for what it means to be a skilled builder.

    Drama-free

Your co-workers are diligent and mature individuals many of whom have been with Field for more than five years. We hire people with passion – our crews include band members, artists, runners, campers, hikers and parents of young children.

    Rewards

Competitive pay starting at $15/hour for novices. Matched retirement. Paid sick and injury time. Normal work hours and no weekends.

    Full-life Landscaping

We expect every employee to work everyday as if they are going to landscape for their whole life. We continually update equipment to cut out “dumb labor” and provide a Healthy Back program to teach each employee about training, movement and recovery techniques to insure a healthy body and back.

    Local

We work primarily in Minneapolis and St. Paul and every morning starts at our conveniently located shop in Northeast Minneapolis (bike and bus-friendly).

    Season

Landscaping at Field is a well-paid, professional, 9 month “gig” job.  We kick things off with our all-team RevUp Meetings in mid-March and wrap up at Thanksgiving. We do not offer winter hours.
