Rocks! (not blocks)
Rocks are in our DNA and a big part of the Field story. We only use boulders for wall construction. Our company started doing artisan stonework under the tutelage of a well-known Twin Cities designer, Elaine Brubaker and we have continued in that vein ever since.
- Rocks can solve any problem. It is the most flexible at creating grade change in a natural space. We can utilize 30-50% less wall for the same solution with boulders vs. concrete.
- Boulder walls have a natural look and feel and merry perfectly with trees, shrubs, and perennial plantings.
- Longevity! A boulder wall could still be there in 100 years.
Plants & Maintenance Guide.
- Plant communities – with over 18 years of designing and installing plants, we’ve selected the absolute most reliable varieties which we use as the foundation for our designs.
- We work with our nursery partner, Wilson’s Nursery, to custom grow the plants we want in the sizes we want so that we can design knowing we’re building plant communities that work.
- Field has also created our own Maintenance Manual to help you keep maintenance to a minimum and enjoy the process. Our landscapes don’t require you to have a maintenance company.
- Through our KerPlantz! program, we also make our palette available direct to consumer.
