    Landscapes are for PLAY!

DOGSCAPE – the culverts are a consistent element that becomes tunnel, perch and tomato planter.

Whether you have three kids, two dogs or a cat and turtle – landscapes can be a great place to expand their world. Field believes that play areas can be based on shaping the landscape or creating structures and creative environments can be created at all budget levels.

Our designs favor play areas that are:

    1. Designed for imaginative plan and open to interpretation

    2. Can evolve as your family members mature.

This play structure is a house, boat, outlook and mountain side.

    3. Encourage interacting with nature.

Some of the best play areas are simple: a tunnel, a hill, a platform, a channel and bridge. These basic structures encourage creative and interactive play. When we design structures we often create simple platform structures that can then evolve to be a dollhouse, a club house or even a star gazing bed. And creating the areas to encourage laying in the grass, digging in the dirt and noticing the seasonality of plants and insects is important.

    Peruse great creative play areas.

Get started with Field to create your outdoor play environment!

A channel and bridge area is good for play and can double as a raingarden.
