In the winter I do design and estimating for our remodeling division Uplift. In the summer I flex between design, estimating, and installation as needed, and am in charge of overall installation strategy.
Background & JourneyI started out with Mechanical Engineer and during an internship they had me modeling washers. I was so bored! As an impulsive 19 year old I knew I had to find something more interesting, and thought… flying! That would be exciting. After 3 years of college I realized that being a pilot was about execution and had very little creativity involved. It was actually creativity and challenges I was looking for. This lead me to graduating with a degree in landscape design. Once I got into the industry I fell in love with being outdoors and building things, the love hasn’t stopped.
I think a lot of times people have a dream of what they want a space to feel like, our job is to guide them and define the space that is going to give them that space and utility they desire.
On the landscape side of things, I love projects with a lot of height difference in the landscape and to be able to create spaces nestled into slopes. On the remodeling side when we can do the extra couple of things that make the space fit the clients life and aesthetic; it’s really rewarding.

A Standout Moment
We did a courtyard project for one of my coworkers’ parents, in a really tight backyard. Access was so tight that we had to bring the bricks over the roof of the garage! The result was such a cozy courtyard with a stone wall and water feature on one side.
Outside of FieldWe do a lot of hiking in the summer, cross country skiing in the winter, and spend a lot of time vegetable gardening.
