Outdoor Feature
I love the look of a curved brick walkway.

Favorite Place
One of my favorite state parks in Minnesota is the Blue Mounds State park. Seeing cactus grow wild in Minnesota is such a unique thing!

As a crew lead, I make sure the installation of the project runs smoothly and keep the client informed of the progress, including any possible changes. It is important for me to keep an open line of communication with the client before, during, and after the installation.

img Background & Journey

I grew up in Germany and worked in several different fields before moving to Minnesota. My last job there was as an Assistant for Technical Product Design, which was very tech‑focused. I realized I wanted work that was more hands‑on and creative, and I’ve always enjoyed being outdoors. That’s what led me to landscaping,  a profession where I can build, create, and work with the natural environment.

Design Philosophy

A well‑designed landscape doesn’t feel forced but belongs. The design should feel like an extension of the home and the people who live there.

Favorite Project Type

My favorite part about landscaping is the variety of projects we get to work on, but if I had to choose just one, it would be a brick or flagstone walkway next to a planting bed.

It is always special for me to see the combination of the right plants and a well-designed and executed hardscape transform any outdoor space.

My Approach

I want the clients to feel they are listened to during the installation process. Whether they are involved down to the smallest detail or prefer to hand the reins over to the designers, the clients are part of the creative process.

Expertise

I really enjoy working on projects that include natural stone elements, be it a flagstone walkway, patio, or a boulder wall/outcropping. I like the challenge of choosing just the right pieces to fit into the larger puzzle.

Memorable Projects

A Standout Moment

One of my most memorable projects was building a two-tiered boulder retaining wall with a stone staircase that let up to a newly built cabin. We worked alongside steep slopes and with 35 tons of boulders. To this day, it is my favorite wall that I have been a part of.

img Outside of Field

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, and reading. I am an avid sports fan and especially like to talk soccer. I still have family in Germany and England that I try to visit during the off-season.
