My primary focus is on making sure that our installation operations run smoothly by managing the schedule for our five crews. I prioritize daily communication with both our crews and clients, keeping everyone informed and aligned to ensure a “no surprises” experience from start to finish. I am deeply committed to supporting and mentoring our crew leads and crew members. My goal is to make their work environment sustainable, engaging, and personally fulfilling. By balancing operational efficiency with a people-first approach, I ensure that our team is motivated and equipped to deliver exceptional results for every client. To keep that momentum going year-round, I transition to interior remodeling with Uplift by Field during the winter months.
Background & JourneyMy journey in landscaping began as a simple search for a summer job after I finished school, but it quickly evolved into a lifelong career path. Growing up, I developed an appreciation for the outdoors while helping my father with various projects, and that early hands-on experience laid the foundation for my work today. I discovered that I love the process of building great landscapes and the tangible satisfaction of working with my hands to transform outdoor spaces into something beautiful and lasting.
What kept me at Field Outdoor Spaces beyond that first summer was not just the work itself, but the incredible community of people, from Jason to every crew member I’ve worked with. Over the years, I have grown with the company, moving from a crew member to a crew lead, and eventually stepping into the role of crew coordinator.
I try to understand a little about each client’s lifestyle and goals to deliver a landscape that resonates with them and encourages them to spend more time outdoors.
Some of the most satisfying projects involve transforming small or unique spaces. These sites often present logistical challenges that range from creative boulder placement to complex patio installations. I love puzzling through these challenges and finding innovative ways to create that high-impact “Wow!”.
A Standout Moment
My most memorable project was in a small St Paul backyard, featuring a curved walkway that flowed seamlessly into an oval-shaped patio. The way the curve of the walkway continued into the patio section created a truly unique look that transformed the space.
Outside of FieldI’m an avid disc golfer who, whether it is summer or winter, loves spending as much time as possible out on the course. I also enjoy hiking and fishing, and I make sure to find time every year for a week-long trip into the Boundary Waters.
